A MEMOIR TO OUR ANGEL

To Our Sweet Angel Baby Gator,

On August 22, 2024, our lives changed forever. Though your time with us was brief, the impact you’ve made on our hearts will last a lifetime. You were our first conceived baby, the little one we had hoped, dreamed, and prayed for during our journey of 3½ years battling infertility and recurring pregnancy loss. You were the answer to a wish we’ve held so close, a beacon of light and hope in the midst of our struggles.

We nicknamed you "Gator," a name that came from a small yet meaningful symbol of love: your first baby blanket with an alligator on it. That blanket was chosen with so much joy and anticipation, meant to wrap you in warmth and love. Though we never got the chance to see you use it, that blanket now holds a sacred place in our home and our hearts, a gentle reminder of you and the love we will always carry for you.

Gator, you have given us so much without even taking a single breath in this world. You gave us hope, a renewed sense of purpose, and a love so deep that it transcends time and space. The day we lost you was one of the hardest days of our lives, but even in our grief, we find comfort knowing you will forever be a part of our story. You have left an imprint on our hearts that will never fade.

Your daddy and I dreamed of holding you, seeing your tiny fingers and toes, and watching you grow into the incredible person we knew you would be. Though those dreams remain unfulfilled, you will always be our first baby—our precious angel who taught us the depths of love and resilience. We imagine you now as our guiding light, watching over us, sending us little signs to let us know you’re near.

Until we meet again, we want you to know just how much we love you. We love you to the moon and back, forever and always. You will always be a part of our family, and your memory will live on in every step of our journey. Thank you for choosing us to be your mommy and daddy, even if only for a short time. You’ll always be our sweet Gator, and we will carry you in our hearts until the day we can hold you in our arms.

With all our love,

Mommy and Daddy

UNTIL WE MEET AGAIN…
